Project Overview

OVERVIEW

FLUIDITY is a proposed exhibition featuring 3D and AR fashion designers Davina India, Yimeng Yu, and Scarlett Yang. Each artist explores organic, nature inspired forms through innovative materials and digital techniques.

DELIVERABLES

  • Invitation
  • Envelopes
  • RSVP postcard
  • Save-the-date card
  • Badges
  • Exhibition app interface

PROBLEM

How might I design an exhibition identity that:
  • Translates abstract, digital fashion into a cohesive visual system
  • Captures the fluid and transformative nature of the garments
  • Adapts across multiple touchpoints, from print collateral to digital experiences
The challenge was to balance visual appeal, brand identity, and print feasibility within production constraints.

MY ROLE: GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Responsible for concept development, visual identity, and execution across all deliverables

Davina India

A designer based in Germany who focuses on making chrome avant-garde pieces.

Yimeng Yu

London-based multi-disciplinary designer who develops 3D pieces that are biodegradable.

Scarlett Yang

Interdisciplinary fashion designer based in China. Her work is known to have exquisite contrasting silhouettes

Process

CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

The visual concept was inspired by water as a metaphor for fluidity, reflecting how the garments move, transform, and adapt to different forms. Since the designs exist in AR and are not constrained by physical materials, the identity emphasizes movement, transformation, and flexibility

Fluidity

Inspired by the movement and flow of water, reflecting the organic forms of the garments.

Transformation

The identity reflects garments that evolve beyond physical limitations.

Adaptability

Flexible compositions represent garments unconstrained by traditional materials or body forms.

VISUAL SYSTEM:

To translate this concept across all materials:
  • Curved framing elements were used to mimic the flow and motion of fabric
  • A cool, aquatic color palette reinforces the sense of fluidity and immersion
  • Gradients and layered imagery create depth, reflecting the dimensionality of AR fashion

EXECUTION:

I applied the visual system across a range of exhibition materials, ensuring consistency while adapting to different formats and scales.

Solution & Outcome:
A cohesive visual identity system that translates the concept of fluidity across both print and digital mediums.
The final designs create an immersive and unified experience, effectively communicating the innovative and transformative nature of the exhibition.
